This is the invitation that family and friends received in the mail:
This is the RSVP:
Jamie has always loved mad libs, and I suppose Andy must like them too. The guests were to fill in the blanks. Isn’t that very clever?
Jamie’s friend Emily designed the invitations. Emily is the talented lady that just so happened to design my blog banner!
I decided to follow their lead and do a mad lib at the bridal shower. I passed 3 pieces of paper around the room for the guests to fill in things like:
Body part, etc.
This is the way the story goes. (the bold words are the ones the guests chose)
Pay attention and listen well as I tell you the love story of Andy and Jamie.
It was about thirty years ago that Andy came across a sweet girl named Jamie. He was on his way to the Smokey Mountains when suddenly his butt cheeks were drawn to a crusty creature too smelly for mere words. He was overcome with confusion and was sure that he had found the woman he was destined to share his english bull dog with.
She gazed at him with her chatty stupendous eyes and his toenail began to quiver musically. Never before had he felt such love and he invited her to join him for a month at Tupelo Mississippi. She agreed, and Andy Skedaddled Jamie off her feet.
She was smitten with him. She loved his funny leg and the way he referred to her as sweetlips. Andy was equally excited by Jamie’s small big toe and pretty dress. He didn’t even mind when she called him snuggles.
The couple dated for nine nights. Then one silky spring morning, Andy bowed his heart to the ground and asked for Jamie’s leg in marriage.
Jamie was so happy she responded immediately with Zoweee! Andy took this as an affirmative response and the couple are now preparing for their wedding day.
After the wedding, they are off to the zoo where they plan to spend a pretty honeymoon enjoying each other’s third finger on the left hand.
Now wouldn’t you like to know what happens next?
If you would like to play along, feel free to fill in the blanks of the RSVP below in a comment.
