Jamie bought me one of those giant clocks for Christmas. I haven’t had a place to put it until I got the extra large armoire out of the living room.
It happened to fit perfectly over my tv. Actually I built the media base by specs so that the clock WOULD fit over the tv.
I don’t own a cricut, so I’ve never really done much with vinyl. I wanted to make sure I got all the numbers in the right place. This is how I did it. The clock comes with a template to help you line up the numbers. However, the clock and the template kept wanting to shift. I used painter’s tape to hold everything in place. I used a level and a tape measure to help line everything up.
In order to make sure each number stayed put without shifting, I taped it with painter’s tape. . .
Then I raised up the bottom of the number and cut the white backing off. Then I lowered the bottom of the number, released the painter’s tape and peeled off the top of the white backing. Voila! No slippage!
I have always had a fondness for clocks. Jamie’s dad and I collected them, and we had many, many clocks! Now I have a clock! A giant clock! Thanks Jamie!
Doesn’t it look great over my tv? I’m so happy with the way my living room is coming along. I still have several things I need to do, but little by little it’s happening!
