Last Saturday some very nice people came to visit me and drop off some stuff.
Some MDF I fondly refer to as the “bumble bee” wood.
Two windows. (who the heck is in charge of leaf patrol around here?) I think I need to fire them! If you look closely in the background you can see I DO own a rake!
Lots of random spindle type legs! Some bead board, plywood, and assorted other lumber.
Another view.
More lumber, and MORE leaves. They really do look pretty in pictures. Let’s go with that, yeah, I left them there to make the pictures prettier.
What do you think all of these pieces are going to be? What would YOU do if you had all these goodies?

I love your blog! We just moved and I am still unpacking. I can’t wait to get busy making one of your projects. I think this shelf is great. It will be Number One on my project list for next Christmas. I appreciate your easy to understand instructions. My husband is going to teach me how to use the radial arm saw. Looking forward to learning more skills!
Thank you!
Thank you for your sweet comment. I’m so happy you found my little corner of the big ole internet! I’m always here if you ever have any questions.

I am currently making a headboard out of one of my old windows from my home (got new ones in January). I should have it done this weekend=) If you weren’t so far away Debilou (I’m in KS) ~ I’d give you a few of mine. I thought they would sell fast on Craigslist ~ but I only sold 3 of them to the same gal.
Woo hoo, got my internet back! That mdf DOES have a bumble bee look to it! All I have to say is if you plan on painting over that you have a lot more patience than I do… Hopefully the back of it is plain.
Can’t wait to see what you do with it all 😉
don’t know what you plan to do, but i know it will be fantastic and something that i am not thinking of. 🙂

I think the windows would look amazing as door fronts on a cabinet. I suppose you could use the spindles for candlesticks, legs on a table (cut down) and I like Reenie’s idea, too.
Have fun creating. I’ll be checking back…
I am anxiously awaiting the finished product because I have all of those pieces.
I don’t think I’m allowed to answer since I know what you’re doing! 🙂 LOL
Oh, and the bumble wood was from old signs from an old company…not the highway authority…but that’s funny! :0) LOL
Hugs Gail!

My guess is like the rest, the windows will become those beautiful cabinets that you make so well, with some swanky feet/legs made from spindles. That “bumble bee wood” looks like it may have been part of a caution sign! Wonder if the highway authorities are missing some signs?
I was thinking exactly what Reenie(above) said. And the leaves look so pretty,, thats what I told my husband about ours. What I want to know is who goes around just giving away such pretty windows.. I need some of those neighbors/friends. Cant wait to see what becomes of all this loot.
A table with the old windows and the spindles for legs?
Looks like fall arrived and Santa too! Those spindles would be great tall candle holders!
Well, I would be thinking of making one of your fabulous cupboards… cutting spindles in half and adding them to the sides of the windows to adorn them…
Now let’s see what is Gail making?… a big box with windows so she can store all her pretty leaves in them nah
I would make a glass front cabinet, cut the spindles up and put short legs on the bottom and finials on top. Don’t know where I’d put it though.
