I appreciate hearing your thoughts about my tools. The work arounds for this particular project are as follows.
The table top can be cut with a jigsaw or circular saw. I highly recommend a Kreg Jig if you’re making any kind of projects on a regular basis. However to attach the shelves, you could secure them with wood glue and screws secured from the back of the bed into the center of the shelf board.
I hope this helps you and other “everyday DIYers” that visit this project to check it out.
I’m happy to inspire you to think outside the box and hopefully give one of my projects a try down the road.

Love viewing all of your wonderful projects & the “love inspired” new life that you put into the finished projects. Such creativity in each and every one of the the lovely “afters”. Wishing all of us “everyday DIYers” had all the special tools used in your projects…however, many of us just have the basic household tool. When viewing many of your projects (that seem to involve/require so many additional (specialized) tools, it minimizes my interest to continue to view the “process”…but always continue to the finished product. Would be wonderful to see many of the transformations “formatted” for us DIYers that don’t have all the special tools. Just a personal viewpoint, but a definite fan. Appreciate all your time, talent and hard work involved!

I like the black headboard shelf because of the lines, but I would probably be able to use the smaller white “coat hanger” best since I live in a small space. I believe the size would dictate who would use what. They’re both gorgeous pieces and such a clever way to repurpose headboards and coffee tables. Love re-using anything.
