A diy console table can double as a writing desk or writing table just by adding a chair!
This DIY console table was made using a table leaf and two random table legs. I really love the way it turned out, and could seriously make these repurposed furniture pieces all day long. This particular console table connects to the wall.
Look! The console table doubles as a writing desk! Just add a chair.
I got this free chair from my neighbor Rodney when he cleaned out his garage. It was in rough shape, but had great bones! I think you know I rarely say NO to a free chair.
While I was making the console table I made sure that it was the proper height for the chair.

I mixed up some diy chalky paint primer with black paint and plaster of paris. After lightly sanding the chair to remove the rubber chair seat backing and the flaking paint, I was ready to paint with my new Homeright Finish Max Super.
A chair like this would be a real pain to paint with a brush. The Finish Max gives it a super sleek look!
awww, much better!
This writing table is perfect for a home office, or a kitchen nook for paying bills. It’s shallow design is large enough for the task at hand, but won’t take up a lot of room in your home.
The white vase is a recent find, the hydrangeas are from my yard (I dried them). The artwork was from a class at Haven Conference with Jocie from One Project Closer. She does a hand lettering workshop online. Busy Girl’s Guide To Hand Lettering. She’s so talented, I’m in the process of taking the online class.
Would you use it for writing, home décor, or both?
