The nice folks at Homeright sent me a new toy, the Finish Max Pro. I seriously didn’t think I could love anything more than I do my regular Finish Max, but I was wrong!
In honor of my new toy, I hung some new plastic in my DIY Paint Booth and rolled this old t.v. cabinet in for a makeover.
I generally keep my paint sprayers in cat litter buckets to corral everything. This Finish Max Pro is a little larger, so I rounded up an orange tool bag I had in storage. It holds everything perfectly!
The Finish Max Pro has a handy place to hold the spray gun while you’re not holding it.
I did the setup the way I normally do for my Finish Max. I gathered the usual items, Paint Strainer , tub of water, soup ladle and my favorite paint.
After I ladle the paint through the strainer, into the paint cup, I immediately place the mesh strainer into the tub of water so it can soak. You can see that I fill the extra cup that comes with the Finish Max Pro with water to make cleanup a breeze.
I sprayed a thin, quick base coat and let it dry slightly before I put on an additional thin topcoat. Note: the minimal over spray. No pictures of the actual painting process, but I must tell you that the weight of the spray gun is minimal and very easy to control and maneuver because all the weight is in the little motor.
I have removed the paint cup, and I place the extra cup that is filled with water onto the spray gun to run clear water through the tube and nozzle.
This is what always amazes me! This is how much paint was left in the paint cup when I finished spraying with the Finish Max Pro. Using nearly all of the paint in the cup, this paint sprayer doesn’t spit or splatter. That makes gail a happy camper!
The Finish Max Pro is even easier to clean than the Finish Max.
And… look at that paint finish! Isn’t it beautiful?
