I am featuring another project from my friend Rose. While junking, I have passed by bunk bed ladders, now I am kicking myself for that! I can use power tools, but I am NOT a decorator. You will never see decorating advice on this blog. I rarely look at decorating magazines. I know I need to look at them more often to get knock off ideas. Rose decorates her house nicely. One of the many things I admire about her. Rose explains below how she repurposed this bunk bed ladder into this shelf….
I have found bunk beds at the curb several times and always pick them up. The headboard/foot boards are great for benches and the ladders are perfect for making these shelves! I’ve done 2 of these so far, this was the first, a Christmas present for my daughter. I used freebie black laminate shelves to make this one. Note; whenever you see cheap laminate bookcases at the curb, pick up the loose shelves if they aren’t water damaged. They’re perfect for projects like this.
Thanks Rose, for allowing me to feature you on my blog!
If you would like to see more of Rose’s finds and projects, she has a blog, check it out here.
