I am helping my friend KariAnne Wood promote her new book–So Close To Amazing by sharing a story with you today about my Maker 13 event that was truly that-so close to amazing. I hope you enjoy getting the scoop on how things went last week. Sometimes it’s difficult to not be disappointed at an outcome that is less than perfect.
Episode #26 of DIY with MRL is all about Maker 13 maker space in southern Indiana. I will be hosting a special event on August 26, 2017 from 1-4 pm. There will be a free meet and greet, along with a special class to make a stool with ME! Promo code will save you $5 on the class.
You may remember I’ve been working with Maker 13 in southern Indiana. I’ve been taking classes which allow me to go to the space and use the machines in my free time. Recently I used an Epilog Laser to etch cutting boards, ceramic tiles and wooden spoons. After some trials and tribulations, I was somewhat successful.
You may remember I’ve been attending classes at Maker 13, a local maker space where you can take classes and then use the machines on the premises. I knew very little about a CNC shop bot router before taking the class where I cut out this fun routed FAMILY sign. I’d love your ideas about adding photos to the rustic framed sign.
I am now a member of a maker space-called Maker 13 in Jeffersonville Indiana. I have taken several classes. I’m sharing how I made a maple and cherry wood cheese board. It was much easier than I ever thought it would be and I used a planer for the first time ever. I’m excited to tell you all about this new experience. I hope you enjoy reading about my new cheese board.
