I am really loving my Silhouette! I love to do quick and easy projects with it. The software is pretty easy to use and I like that!

    beware of dog-welcome
This is one of my layouts. See all those flourishes? I didn’t need them all, but I like to fill in all of my dead space. The BEWARE OF DOG is a free font from DaFont.com. It is called 28 DAYS LATER. I love the chippiness of this font. The “welcome” is “English”. Can you see where I might be going with these two phrases?

The flourishes had a bunch of tiny little specks that had to be picked out. I’ve been using a pair of tweezers to get into the tiny little places.

I have several of these decorative wooden pieces I bought from Joey’s booth before my favorite Peddler’s Mall closed. I got 4 different pieces for .96 cents. I sure do miss that place! I painted it with some red oops paint.

After the red paint dried, I used some burnt umber to do a glaze on the red.

I did a dry fit on the vinyl pieces. This is the front of the sign.

This is the back of the sign.

Last year I made this small red porch post. I love making things like this. Putting all the pieces together is so much fun for me!

This is where my new little sign will hang. I’m sorry for the pitiful picture. It was COLD and RAINY outside. I used some twine to hang the sign, but I didn’t like how it hung. I switched it out for heavy gauge wire.

I hope you have some sunshine and warmth where you are!

I bet this is the kind of project that you do once and then want to do a million more. Great job!

      I need one that says:
"If you don't like my rules then don't swing on my gate!"

Your sign is cute.. love the post that it hangs off of, and man couldn't that come in handy?

I'll check back tomorrow for the finish!

Very nice Gail... love that distressed font...
I don't imagine that was easy picking all those little pieces out of it though.

Have a great sunny day... I think you are sending it our way tomorrow... today is very foggy and rainy.

      Hugs, Deb

Wow, that font is amazing! Love your signs and it's just the perfect thing for that post you made. We are getting the rain today, yesterday was sunny and 50! I spotted my first snowdrop flowers yesterday, Yay! Spring is on the way.

Hi Gail! It's supposed to be sunny and around 60 here today too! I'm not sure which outside project to start first! :-)About the only thing I don't like about working with vinyl is those "small pieces" grrrr....The beware of dog side almost looks like paint!I love the font. Great Job!
