Have you ever made a bench out of a baby bed? This is a great project for beginners with limited skill sets and tools.

    bench made from baby bed

My friend Cathy and I made this bench out of a baby bed. The front skirt is from an old wooden valance. Using reclaimed hardwood tongue and groove flooring  kept the costs down. The front legs are from an old chair. The paint is oops, of course!
The best way to make a baby bed bench is to use reclaimed parts. That's easy when you save parts from this and that.

I've come a long way in how I make benches out of headboards. Check out my Mission Style Bench With Storage for a complete tutorial and what your first step should be when making a bench without a foot board.
