I showed you in the Purdy Paint brush review that I painted something black and white. Did you guess what it was?

Just a quick reminder of what you last saw.

Yes, the wood is a little “rough” but for .51 cents, I can’t be too particular.

There on the top is the green paint signifying that I paid .51 cents!

I found another use for my bead board wallpaper.
    100_6075
I am not a huge fan of wallpaper, I have NEVER had it in any room in my house. So, I am by no means an expert paper hanger. This paper is pre-pasted and I found it very easy to use.

I painted the bead board wallpaper and the shelves with a semi-gloss white paint.
    100_6084
I really like the contrast of the  black and white.

I currently have it in the house so the paint can cure. It’s so hot and humid outside, I don’t think it would ever cure out there. I have decided not to put the window/door on it. Sometimes I just know when it’s time to move on, and this is one of those times.
What do you think? Do you like the combo? Several of you said black, do you think I should have painted the inside black too? Be honest. I can take it.
    Speaking of black and white   . . . .

This little lady is spent Monday night at the vet. They think she has a UTI and wanted to keep her so they can get enough urine to do a urinalysis. I am very sad to think she had to stay in a crate with no blanket or litter box. I’m sure she thinks I abandoned her. I will find out today what they determined. Poor Kitty. Matt hasn’t even missed her, silly boy!

I like it! Someday when I get over my fear of saws, I will have to attempt this one... or just make my husband do all of the cuts.

Great tips on the beadboard wallpaper.

I LOVE the black and white its beautiful, the white makes it pop very nicely, and I also love how you used the lined white design instead of just painting the inside plain white, its simple and beautiful.

My boyfriend has brother - sister kitties that are black and white. My boyfriend also just moved into a new (smaller) apartment so we need more storage. I love your site for ideas!!! 🙂

Hm, I like the black with the white because you used the faux beadboard look. solid black wouldn't have given it that little extra umph! I like it very much.

That looks fabulous! I love the black and white! And I am so sorry about your kitty 🙁 My dog Maddie had a UTI last summer and it scared the be-jesus out of me. It's amazing how quickly we get attached to our little furry friends. Whatever it is I hope she recovers quickly!

I'm a fan of black and white. :0) I think it looks good as is. What you decided to put in the cabinet will change how it looks. If you're thinking of painting it all black, I'd put a few things in it and see what you think before you paint again.
I like the beadboard wallpaper inside. It's a really cute touch.
