    Bennie's Barn Glendale KY

Glendale Crossing Days at Bennie’s Barn. The picture is small here, but that blue and white striped booth is mine. If you click over to the Bennie’s Barn link, you’ll see how crowded it gets . That tent was borrowed, I’ve purchased my very own this year. It’s white and it has sides. wooohoo!

    thrifted bi-fold doors

I was very busy most of the summer getting ready for this show. Remember these doors? I used the set on the right to make four of my ever popular magazine racks.

magazine rack repurposed from bi-fold doorIf you’re interested in a tutorial check out this old post titled Repurposed Shutter/Magazine Rack.

repurposed bi-fold doorThe doors have different sized sections, so I was able to make two sizes that I painted black.

Magazine Rack from bi-fold doorI also made two white ones.

bi-fold door repurposedI was going to glaze the white ones, but I decided I like them white.

God Bless Our Home & All Who EnterIt wouldn’t be Glendale without some signs.

    Welcome Sign

    you are my happy

Rustic Wedding SignThese wedding signs have been very popular in my Etsy store, so I’ve made several varieties to take with me.

Rustic Sign Repurposed FenceTo use ups some scraps, I made some inspirational rustic signs.

repurposed Christmas Tree & spindleHere is an updated version of my spindle tree.

book page ornamentI made some ornaments out of old hymnal pages.

repurposed Christmas Tree 7 spindleThese pictures were taken on a very windy day, the paper ornaments were swaying and swinging in the breeze.

repurposed painting into a chalkboardI’m taking a couple of very large chalkboards. Saying found on Pinterest.

old outdated gold plastic framesThese babies were a recent find recently.

    .

spray painted gold frame (chalkboard)After some spray paint, and chalkboard paint.

chalkboardWould you believe it hurts my shoulder to write?

Thrifted PlatesI told you recently that Joey’s back in town. I picked up 12 plates from his booth.

kids eat free at granny'sI had made these phrases for some tiles, but look how cute they look in the plates!

tile with vinylI have made these for moms and dads with grandma, grandpa etc. I sold them at the booth during Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, but I think they would make great Christmas gifts too.

Repurposed Shipping CardboardThese cardboard pieces were part of some packing. They reminded me of desk plaques. I was thinking about making some signs to let customers know I can take credit cards. I rummaged around to find these, and they worked perfectly.

repurposed shipping cardboardI’m sure I could have bought some acrylic ones from an office store, but repurposing is more fun!

Glendale KY 2012A few more  items that will be headed to Glendale this year.

I will be setting up on Friday, and the sale is all day Saturday till 5. The weather looked good, but now it looks like there might be some rain showers on Friday with the temp only in the 50’s. Saturday partly cloudy, 61. Sunday and Monday of course are going to be gorgeous in the 70’s. That’s the goofy weather in this silly Ohio Valley.

Don't forget to post a picture this year again of all of it in the car. Such great stuff, I hope you can take it all and come back without most of it! Good luck and have someone help you carry the heavy things!
      Big hugs,
      Sue

Gail- you have lots and lots of cool stuff. You're going to sell a bunch of it I'm sure.
Maybe when you're all said and done, you can do a post about pricing for a craft fair. I get stuck on that notion that some how people will 'pay the price'...I've heard people say...if you price too low-- they won't buy either. So, curious about that.

Also...what a great way to display your payment options and FB page, etc. Instead of buying, I'm glad you repurposed for this. That IS WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT AFTER ALL. 🙂
Oh and I love the trees too.
and the sayings on the plates! Cute Christmas gifts for sure.
