Do you know what a maker space is? Today I’m going to share with you  all about Maker 13 maker space in Jeffersonville Indiana, right across the river from Louisville KY. I’m working with Maker 13 to host an event next week. More about that later. Be sure to listen to Episode #26 near the bottom of this post.

3 D printing

Here is the 3 D printing project I made in class at Maker 13. It’s a cell phone holder.

cutting board class

I took the Cutting Board Class at the shop and made a two toned cutting board. You can see more details in my post Cherry and Maple Cheese Board.

cnc shop bot Family

During the CNC Shop Bot class I made a Family routed sign. You can see how I finished and framed it in my post Family Sign.

sign and stencil class maker 13

In the podcast I talked about the difference between events and classes. This Sign & Stencil event was fun to do the friends and family!

I’ve been back to Maker 13 many times to work on the Epilog Laser machine etching cutting boards.

Gail Wilson Maker 13

If you’re local to Kentuckiana (Louisville, KY or Southern Indiana) check out the event I’ll be hosting at Maker 13 on August 26, 2017 from 1-4 pm. We’ll have some light refreshments, and you’ll get to hang out with me, and if you’re so inclined, you can participate in the “Make it” portion and build a step stool like this one . You can sign up here, * and use the code 5offMRPL to save $5 off the $35 event fee. Because I’m a blogger, and we LOVE giveaways, there will be door prizes and special giveaways for those who participate in the project class. You can also show “interest” and sign up through Maker 13 on Facebook

Wish you could all be there!

*the site is a little confusing to me. You can pull up the date of Aug 26 on the calendar and click there. You will need to sign up in order to book the event, even if you’re just coming to the FREE open house.

  1. I’m local, but have to work Saturday. So disappointed. Hopefully I can catch the next one. Even if I would have to cross the bridge to go. 🙂

  2. I like the combination of Meet + Greet with a workshop tagged on to the end. Sounds like a lot to squeeze into 3 hours but should be fun! Congratulations!
