using a finish max to paint a picket fence or other home imrpovement projects MyRepurposedLife

Well, the fence is done—mostly! There are a few more things to do, plus a new sidewalk needs to be created. And…. a whole lot of painting!

Painting a fence can be a big challenge, but if you hop over to Homeright.com you will see how I am tackling this huge job and get all the details of how I’m doing it.

In addition, while you’re at Homeright, be sure to check out their new site and I highly recommend signing up for their email subscription or rss feeds by putting homeright.com/diy in your favorite reader.

    painting picket fence

Update! I painted three more sections yesterday. Even though I had already painted the sections to the left of the arbor, after I painted the sections to the right (yesterday) it made such a HUGE difference and brought a huge smile to my face. I believe part of it has to do with the greener grass.

I averaged about 25 mins per each of these sections. Not bad, eh?

Wow! You have done a great job. Though it looks difficult but seeing you do it so well with the sprayer gives me the confidence that I can at least give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

Having built a picket fence - AND painted it by hand - I'm well qualified to say how great yours looks! You'll get to feel that satisfaction every time you look at it.

Checked out the diy site, and I'm all ready to go clean my car with my steamer!

I have never painted a fence, but I did install a fence with a good friend reusing pickets another friend had removed from his property in order to install a taller privacy fence. Using the sprayer seems much easier than the Tom Sawyer method!
