I picked up these great picket fence pieces last year. My friend Stephanie told me I should do picket fence signs for weddings. I dismissed her suggestion because at the time I had no place to sell my items. Now that I have a booth at Unique Creations I decided to make some signs with my old fencing.
I used my CAMEO to make stencils out of contact paper (not wanting to waste vinyl for a stencil)
The font is Segoe Script.
They are currently hung with a piece of jute, but could also be nailed right to a post or tree.
This sign “points” guests in the right direction.
These picket signs would look great in wedding photos!
I really love my CAMEO-stop by tomorrow for a different kind of project and a great promotion from the fine folks at Silhouette.

Hey. I came across your website on Pinterest and got lost browsing around on it. I am just curious what program that is that you are using to make stencils and what other materials you need?? I can’t find the right stencils online so I would love to be able to make my own. Thanks!

Glad you happened by, and happy you found some projects that may interest you. Do you know what a Cricut is? It’s an electronic cutting machine. I have a different brand, a Silhouette. It’s small like a printer, and it cuts vinyl out–you know the kind people put on their walls.
I use mine all the time to make those signs for my Etsy shop. You can see all the things I’ve made with my Silhouette here: https://www.myrepurposedlife.com/silhouette-projects-2
I don’t think you can buy them in stores. They are available here: http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/
I have both the CAMEO and the Portrait. The portrait is the one I use most.

see… this is why I NEED a silhouette too!
i love these signs,,, and wouldnt ya know it I went to my sisters saturday and they had two trailer loads of old siding and stuff to haul off and right there underneath where I couldnt get to it was a section of old picket fence.. I was too lazy to move all the stuff off of it.
Thanks for the heads-up about contact paper! I need to stock up! I’ve got lots of stencil projects on the horizon!
These are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
