Sewing Machine Drawers into a side table

I picked up this little lady from Craig’s List for $20.00. Yes, it is well over my $5.00 limit. This is the actual picture from Craig’s list. I got this when I very first started junkin’. Also, I knew I was going to make two projects, and I thought they were both going to be for me. My $5.00 limit is flexible if the purchase is for my own personal use, or for a gift.
How to turn sewing machine drawers into a cabinet
I dismantled the wooden parts from the chassis. That in itself was not an easy task. There are many screws holding all of those pieces together. I had a piece of curbed wood that I used for the top. That piece of wood determined the size of this piece. I cut a piece of plywood and routed the edges to match the top. This is the dry fit, making sure that everything was going to work. As it turned out, I decided not to use the piece of bead board that you see in the back in these pictures.
I used some scrap bead board pieces to “box in” the cubby portion. You can see in this picture that some of the wooden appliques have fallen off.

Love the table. The price you paid for the machine is a steal. Sindle sewing machine drawers go for a premium around here.
