Reclaimed Fence {Flower Box and Tool Caddy}

Today’s projects are simple projects made with reclaimed fence. I love the weathered look, and the size of these boards. Some fence pieces are really lightweight, while others are heavier. It’s all a big surprise what you’ll end up with.

I used Gorilla Wood Glue to help secure these pieces along with my brad nails from my nail gun. But this can easily be made without power tools. The boards can be cut with a hand saw, and put together with wood glue and small tacks.

This was a simple project, and easily done since my shoulder is still not up to par.

A lot of people are using these type boxes as centerpieces. I staged mine with some dried hydrangeas.

I think the muted colors of the flowers work well with the weathered patina of the fence.

I purposely chose the original dog eared pieces for the ends.

Rustic Tote:
I used dog eared pieces for each end of this caddy/tote, with a chair spindle for the handle.

This is the third tote I made, the other wooden totes from reclaimed fence were shorter, with one being long and the other being short. You can see the details of making one of these totes by visiting that link above.

Again, I staged it with the dried hydrangeas.
