It’s almost October, so I thought it’s a good time to share an easy scrap wood Halloween project. I used Chalk Couture screen print transfers and chalk paste to decorate these scrap 2×4’s. This quick and easy project could be done for any holiday.

I have an oh so easy project for you! It’s a mirror frame chalkboard. The mirror was broken, but the frame was perfect to make into a chalkboard. I even used the masonite board that helped hold the mirror in place. Spray paint, and chalkboard paint sprayed with my Finish Max and this project was finished in record time! Oh, bonus! I added a Chalk Couture transfer to take it to the next level.
It’s the second Wednesday, so that means it’s time for the Thrift Store Decor Team projects. I love joining in with my friends each month to share great thrift store projects. This month won’t disappoint. Awesome projects for you to work on someday soon.
Today’s post is chock full of information. I’m sharing how I painted those picture frames I showed you yesterday. There are fun details about a contest for my blogger friends going to Haven Conference and a giveaway for those of you who aren’t a blogger going to Charleston later this month. I love my friends at Homeright!
For this month’s Thrift Store Decor project, I chose to do a small stool makeover. The stool was a great deal at only $4.00. But what should have been a very simple makeover gave me lots of issues and stress. Be sure to check out the other great projects this month from my friends. You will be inspired!
I’m showing you how to do a reverse canvas technique. The reverse canvas uses a regular canvas and it’s frame but totally changes up the look. Easy video tutorial included.
I am now an Independent Designer for Chalk Couture! Using their chalkology chalk paste and transfers are so easy and fun to embellish new and junky projects. In fact, I’m calling myself the Junky Chalker.
