Upcycled Home Decor using thrift store items. 100 easy projects with directions and tips from 10 DIY bloggers. Something for everyone. #MyRepurposedLife #repurposed #upcycled #homedecor #thrifty via @repurposedlife

For our monthly Thrift Store Decor post, we're looking back over the last year. I'm choosing my favorite Upcycled Home Decor Projects from my friends on the team.

    sweater as a pillow cover

My friend Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods loves using thrift store textiles, such as flannels and sweaters to upcycle home decor. You will love how Sarah transformed sweaters in to oh so cozy boho pillows!

Upcyled Home Decor Thrift Store Items

    upcycled home decor wooden tray

Old trays are plentiful at your local thrift store. Carlene from Organized Clutter added paint and a pretty transfer to change up this tired, old wooden tray. Don't you LOVE it?

DIY Lake Sign Repurposed Cabinet Door

Our Southern Home Christy, upcycled a cabinet door into a LAKE sign! She will show you how easy it is in her tutorial DIY Lake Sign. Seriously, upcycled home decor is the way to go these days!

Upcycled Home Decor doesn't get any easier or inexpensive than this awesome painted basket project from Maryann at Domestically Speaking.

I've made some pedestal pieces, but I love this candle holder project from Kathy (Petticoat Junktion) and the one that inspired her to make this! I really need to make something similar. Don't you agree?

    chic boho jewelry tray

Oh my gosh, with a little paint and patience, you too, can transform a thrift store tray into a boho chic jewelry tray! Didn't Kristin (My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia) do a beautiful job? THIS was a frog tray in it's former life!

    Seasonal Decor Ideas

    upcycled thrift store glassware

Do you have thrift store glassware? Suzanne from Shop at Blu has some cute ideas for upcycled glassware for the holidays.

    repurposed tobacco tray

Pam from House of Hawthornes used a Halloween thrift find, but you could easily use a grapevine wreath to make seasonal decor for your door!

    sweater pumpkin

Upcycled home decor can look so chic! Cindy from Reinvented Delaware knows how to pull it off with these sweater pumpkins!

Before You Upcycle Furniture, you Must Clean It!

how to prep furniture for painting

Last, but not least, here's my favorite project tutorial. I think my How to Prep Furniture For Painting tutorial is one of the most valuable tutorials I've done. Painting is easy if you repair and clean your thrift store finds!
