I believe this has to be my favorite bench that Cathy and I have ever made! I can’t wait till the weather warms so we can make another bench. We have lots of headboards in storage.Edited to Add: I'm getting some questions about the "how to" of this bench. Check out my tutorial and other benches. If you look carefully at them, they are basically the same.

Very nice. It reminded me a lot of my son's crib until you painted it.

I love it too--I am itching to do a big project that doesn't have to be completed on my kitchen counter! Maybe soon? (or not in Montana)

I like this one and the white paint makes it really have a quality about it that would make it perfect for any spot really.

Love this bench. Also loved that you painted it white. Would be lovely with some spring fabric cushions. I loved the one Layla and Kevin did over at the lettered cottage as well. I am off to look at your tutorial on how you did yours.

Gail this is AWESOME! Seriously, I'm going to have to make one now cuz it's just so darn cute! You are brilliant!!!
To answer your question, I use a scroll saw most of the time when I cut stuff out. It is so great at detail work and is pretty user friendly.
I think I'm headed to the thrift store to look at some head boards....
      Have a great day!

I have the perfect spot for that bench!! Love it.

I'm trying to decorate extra bedroom (daughter just graduated from college and moved out) and that bench would be perfect!

I'm going hunting for an old headboard. Your ideas are magnificent.

That is so pretty in white, such a big difference from the dark stain!
Did you blog previously about how you made this? I'm wondering how you attached the rails across the bottom to each side?
