Last fall, I made the Twins  (window cabinets) for Missy’s mom Mary. Mary was sweet enough to send me some extra goodies!

First up, we have some bed parts-legs and spindles.

This is the foot board. I cut off the little “tab” pieces that formerly fit into the bed posts.

I used my Harbor Freight paint sprayer to prime several pieces at once. Check out my new favorite sprayer on my Favorite Products Page.

I then used the sprayer to paint several pieces black.

Design Always Kiss Me Goodnight Vinyl Phrase

I posted on Facebook asking for suggestions for a sign. Gayla suggested “Always Kiss Me Goodnight”. I have loved that phrase for a long time, so I designed it in my Silhouette program. I used the font Adorable. Available for free download at Dafont.com

I love my Silhouette, but it sure is a challenge for me to figure out which phrase I want to use, AND which font to use! I really like the way this one turned out, but I’m sure had I chosen another one I would have loved it too. Smile

Do you have someone to “Always Kiss YOU Goodnight?”

Would you like to see what I made with the matching headboard?

  1. You could sell these! I’d buy one. Very unique to use the bed boards. Thanks for sharing the font… it IS adorable! I’d take kisses from your little fur baby. He made me smile, even before coffee 🙂

    Have a good day, Gail.

  2. I am LOVING all these sins I keep seeing…..I think you just sold me on a Silhouette…I’ve been eyeing it, but I think now its time to seriously save my pennies so I can get one!!!
You have the best projects, you’re such a wonderful inspiration!

  3. Super awesome project! and…I love the story behind it, followed up by the comment just before mine from Missy.;) Nothing beats a great group of people around in support. For what it’s worth….I think kisses from that adorable terrier of yours beat out kisses from my hubby!! (Shhh….don’t tell him. lol)

    Have a great day!

  4. Mom will be so glad to know you were able to make something so cute out of some of the “goodies” she sent you! 🙂 I LOVE the sign, it turned out adorable! (and I think your little poochie could read it if you want to use it over your bed.) 🙂 That font is beautiful too! Thanks for sticking my name in the post…always nice to click over here and see my name in “lights”! lolLove ya girlmissy

  5. I love it! I’ve always loved that little quote too – but the boys around here at that age when then would not allow it! You did a beautiful job with yours. I have a Silhouette and love it… just haven’t used it much. Guess I’m waiting for the walls to get painted. Have made some great gifts out of old windows with it.

  6. That looks like a good gift for the newlyweds, my friend!
I purchased a vinyl of this saying, cut the words apart and applied it to the risers of my 2nd floor stairway, starting a few steps from the bottom and working up. Since Mike and I are the only ones that ever go upstairs to the bedroom it felt like the right place to put it.
Mike was tickled pink with it, now he always chuckles when he goes up the stairs. 😉
