I love quick makeovers like this round side table makeover! I tried to find something similar online, but all the others the Google image found had three legs, whereas this one has four.
This table was a free find from my cousin. As always, I recommend inspecting your furniture before purchasing it to ensure it is worth the money.
It's Furniture Fixer Upper Tour Day! Be sure to visit my friends' projects at the bottom of this post.
Repair Thrift Store Furniture
The little table had been in storage and needed cleaning and repairs. Would you have picked this up for free?
Gorilla Wood Glue and clamps secured the banding. Tip: Baby wipes will help clean up a wood glue mess if it oozes out.
Prep Furniture The Easy Way
I use several options when cleaning and preparing furniture for painting. See my article "How to Prep Furniture For Painting" for grimy projects.
I began using the wipes to clean the dust off the table.
Because the tabletop was so shiny, I used the liquid Surface prep to degloss it and prepare it for paint. I brushed the solution on and wiped it off with a cloth.
Painting a Round Side Table
The color I chose is Cathedral. The roller and nice paintbrush make it fun to paint furniture.
Visit the My Repurposed Life Amazon Store to shop my favorite items.
Paint the Underside of Your Furniture Flip
You may not want to paint the underside if you're keeping the furniture flip for yourself. However, if you are re-homing it, I highly recommend doing so. You don't want the new owner to see the ugly truth underneath.
Painting Gray Projects
If you're working on one project, why not do several? While you wait for the paint to dry, grab another project and then another. Before you know it, you can complete three or four projects with only an extra hour or so invested.
The finish I got with this paint and these tools is beautiful.
Round Side Table Makeover
The small lamp was also part of this free haul. I'll share details on it next month during our Thrift Store Tour.
I love this deep gray color (Cathedral) from Heirloom Traditions.

What a great freebie! Yes, I would have snapped it right up lol. It looks so fresh and new now. And is that a transfer on a lamp shade I spy? Love that too! XOXO

You being the transfer queen, I'm not surprised you spotted that. But did you see that I put it upside down? lol
