Solar lights have improved a lot over the years. They tend to charge sufficiently, even in shady areas. In addition, solar lights purchased at dollar stores work more than long enough to get your money's worth.

This collection of solar light features includes repurposed chandeliers, lamps, and more. Most of these ideas are simple enough for an afternoon project.

Although this tall solar chandelier is made with solar lights, you could easily use small battery-operated or tealight candles instead.
