Projects include outdoor ideas, and many 4th of July projects as well.
You name it, we have it. Over 100 Summer Projects, many of which can be done in an afternoon with supplies you probably already have on hand.
Let's take a look at a few of my favorite summer projects completed by my friends on the team.
Upcycled Cardboard Drink Caddy
Petticoat Junktion upcycled a fast food cardboard drink caddy. Isn't it adorable? Don't you think this would be so handy for an outdoor gathering this Summer? I could even use one in my camper. But I would prefer one that folds flat. Kathy mentions this particular drink caddy doesn't do that.
Painted Gardening Bench
I love "repurposing" my older projects. That's the case with this gardening bench from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia. Kristen's husband originally built this for a workbench. There was some tweaking, staining and painting, and I absolutely LOVE how the gardening bench looks now, don't you?
Glass Fishing Floats
How can I knot (pun intended) know what Glass Fishing Floats are? Oh my gosh, What an awesome way to upcycle thrift store vases for Summer! I'm not sure I have the patience to do all the knots, but the outcome is so spectacular, that I think I'd sure be willing to try! Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods never ceases to amaze me with her fabulous thrift store finds!
Simple Planter
Pam from House of Hawthornes makes great upcycled planters. Check out her Simple Bushel Basket Planter. I think my favorite item she plopped into the bushel basket is probably the mums! What flowers would you put in the planter?
Rope Coasters
Are you a beach lover? Even though I'm landlocked, I love summer beach decor like these DIY Nautical Rope Coasters from Domestically Speaking Maryann! What simple rope projects have you done? Have you made coasters yet?
Outdoor Beverage Station
Celebrate Summer outdoors with a fun beverage station! Christy, from Our Southern Home knows how to entertain and decorate. See how she took an old door and other bits and pieces to make this awesome DIY beverage station.
More Thrift Store Summer Projects
Now, I'll share a few of the favorite Thrift Store Projects for Summer on THIS site!
This DIY Gazing Ball is easily made from a Thrift Store Bowling Ball! I made my first one about 12 years ago, but made these unbreakable gazing balls last year. Bowling balls are so pretty and colorful.
Old chairs are readily available at thrift stores and/or yard sales. If you do a search on Pinterest, you will find so many variations of Garden Chairs. So many chairs and ideas.
I love, love, love how this upcycled shutter became a vertical succulent garden. Did you know that this project has been featured in several magazines?
