I was cleaning out the garage this past week and came across the old top to my kitchen island. As I was taking the boards apart I knew it was the perfect specimen for an oversized stepstool for the bedroom closet. After one board was removed, it was the perfect size to make a…

Small Footstool Makeover For Camper
It’s time for the Thrift Store Decor team to get together to show you our easy thrift store makeovers! My project this month is a small footstool that I redid for the camper. On a recent trip I realized that my feet don’t touch the floor while sitting at the dinette set. With the table removed, it’s more like a sofa and I need a way to work on the laptop. You will love the projects from my friends!
Small Stool Makeover | Chalk Couture Style
For this month’s Thrift Store Decor project, I chose to do a small stool makeover. The stool was a great deal at only $4.00. But what should have been a very simple makeover gave me lots of issues and stress. Be sure to check out the other great projects this month from my friends. You will be inspired!
Chair Side Table made from a Free Chair
A FREE old chair is the perfect furniture to repurpose. This chair side table is great for outdoors by my drop cloth hammock or porch swing. I gave it a quick whitewash because I didn’t want it to look too new. I did hit a few glitches and had to call in a favor from a neighbor. I still get stumped and challenged on even some easy projects.
Grain Stripe Step Stool Makeover
Mindi is back this month with great tips on repairing and painting this adorable grain stripe step stool. It didn’t start out looking like this, it was in desperate need of repairs. She even added storage in the dead space in the back of the step stool. I always learn stuff from Mind’s tutorials, be sure to check it out.
Girls Step stool
This accidental project came about by accident, but had a few hiccups along the way. Sometimes projects can try my patience, and I may even give up for a while. I stuck with this one even after some stenciling gone wrong. Hop over to read all the details on this girl’s step stool.
one board stools and benches | easy tutorial
I basically made these stools and benches like the one board project stool I made a couple of months ago. I let the size of the boards determine the size of the stool/bench. Cheap Lumber Bargains Do you remember these boards I picked up at Vendors’ Village? They were perfect for some of these stools…
small thrift store footstool makeover
Today I’m going to show you a simple thrift store footstool makeover. This poor little guy definitely needed some TLC. Even John (vendor 169) at Vendors’ Village knew it had possibilities if it were recovered. But I wanted to do a little more than that. I figured it needed a little color. …

Stool Turned Side Table
As a fun summer project I have been cleaning off my back porch, which is no simple feat when it is hoarded wall to wall furniture. The reason is two fold, to make a nice sitting area for eating and visiting, and to make my husband happy. I guess it isn’t easy to BBQ when you…
easy 2×4 bench/stool tutorial
It seems like it’s been forever since I cleaned out the garage and tidied up my lumber storage. I had many of these 2×4’s left after making my lumber storage benches, so I decided to make some easy 2×4 benches. I made some years ago that were a little different from Jamie’s old deck…

small repurposed table into a stool
Back in the summer, Jan gave me some items she had curbed. This table was one of those items. It had actually been a “tiered” table, hence the holes. In the fall, I used the table top to make my faux pocket watch. I used my HomeRight Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer to paint…
Step Stool Graphics Fairy Image
Perhaps you remember that I picked up this step stool over the weekend at Tickled Pink. I paid $3.99 for it. Ever since I saw Terri’s coffee table, and all the neat stuff Korrie does, I have been wanting to transfer one of Karen’s (The Graphics Fairy) images onto something. I printed the image on…
