You will love these easy to make Santa Coasters. Using 2 ply napkins is a great option to DIY any holiday coasters.
Materials to make DIY Santa Coasters
- Small Ceramic Tiles
- 2 Ply Holiday Napkins
- White School Glue
- Foam Brush
- Paper Cutter
- Small Cork Pads
- Water Based Polycrylic
- Ribbon (for wrapping)
This box of tiles had been hanging around for about a year before I got around to using them.
I just made seventeen sets of these coasters. Four to a set. I found the napkins don’t stay smooth, but still look nice. I used fabric for most of them and added felt to the bottom.
ADORABLE IDEA. WHERE CAN I GET THE TILES SINCE I DON’T HAVE A BOX OF THEM LAYING AROUND!!!!!!
You can get them at Home Depot, or your local ReStore (Habitat for Humanity)
Thanks Lois!

Karen,
Oh how fun! The grands will love doing this!

What did you use to apply the polycrylic? What would you suggest for wanting the image to cover the sides?
Denise,
I generally use cheap sponge brushes for applying polycrylic. I think if you want to cover the sides, you may need to carry it all the way onto the bottom.

Brilliant idea, and SO CUTE!!
What a great idea. Now I kno what I can do with all the left over Holiday napkins. Thanks for sharing!
This will be a perfect project. My step-dd is visiting. She is 34 but is Developmentally Disabled and inside she’s about 10. I think she will like to make these. The outcome is almost guaranteed a success. Thanks, Gail. Jenni Carroll/Omaha, NE
