Do you have an old bed? Why not make a new sign for your home. Headboards make great diy signs for over the bed because of their size. #MyRepurposedLife #repurposed #bed #diy #sign #master #bedroom #decor via @repurposedlife

You know I love headboard benches. But Old Bed | New Signs? I had forgotten how many I’d done! These large signs made from old beds are perfect for a large wall in the master bedroom. You know that one over the master bed?

I hope you find something here to inspire you to dismantle an old bed and make a new sign!

    Always Kiss me Goodnight

old bed-new sign Always Kiss Me Goodnight MyRepurposedLife

I know this one may have been overdone for years, but for me—it’s perfect for a master bedroom. Some of the other new signs can go in any room, but wouldn’t this Always Kiss Me Goodnight sign be perfect hanging over anyone’s master bed? No matter if you’ve been married 6 months or 60 years, never go to bed mad!

Old Bed | New Sign | Home

The best thing about these old bed parts is that you can cut them down to size. This one might even look better if it were cut where the little V is on either side. With doing it yourself, YOU have that option to make the vinyl and sign smaller. Home Where Your Story Begins

What I Love Most About My Home

large headboard sign coat rack what I love most about my home MyRepurposedLife

With a large headboard such as this, you have to option to add a shelf or in this case coat hooks. I have other large headboards that weren’t made into signs, but fabulous Headboard Shelves.

You Can Make a Large Sign with a Small Silhouette Machine

Just because your cutting machine might only cut narrow vinyl, that doesn’t mean you can’t make a very large sign. This Amazing Grace DIY Sign was a stenciling project done with contact paper to keep costs down.

Old Bed | New Sign | Bienvenue

I don’t speak French, but my daughter Jamie studied it for four years. I was lucky enough to go with her class on a trip to France. Our computer (AOL) was set up to say Bienvenue  instead of Welcome  when we signed on! This Bienvenue Sign  has long been one of my favorites!

And They Lived Happily Every After Old Bed New Sign

Besides, Home Sweet Home, I think And They Lived Happily Ever After is one of my favorite sentiments for signs! Another favorite is “It’s Never Too Late to Live Happily Ever After” That’s my mantra as I am very much into my senior years! This old bed, new sign was made from a headboard.

    Add a Decor Transfer

Don’t you LOVE the shape of this headboard? Doesn’t it just scream that it needs to be a sign? I made this with a Prima Decor Transfer, but alas it never sold. All the details are on the blog post.

Cheap Old Bed | New Sign

Adding new wood to an old bed to make a new sign is fairly easy and it really ups the ante of your project! That is the case with this Grateful. Thankful. Blessed. sign. I even made another change before it headed off to my craft fair at Glendale.

    Headboard Photo Display Sign

This piece and it’s mate had been hanging out forever in my stash before it go this unique makeover. Yep, it finally told me it wanted to hold special photos and coats. Old Headboard Photo Display Sign

Like I said at the beginning of this collection, I really hope you found something to inspire you to part out that old bed and make a new sign! Which is your favorite? Leave a comment to let me know.
