This roundup of 50+ repurposed table ideas will inspire you to change up or transform that table you have in storage, or maybe you just found the perfect table at a thrift store or on the side of the road. In any case, you’re sure to find something here to inspire you to save an old table from the landfill or dump. Old tables are generally well made and will last much longer than the newer tables of today.

Are you more of a table makeover person or a table transformation? Do you refinish tables or just paint them? There is definitely something here for you regardless.
I hope you pin this collection so others can find inspiration, and it will help you remember where you found over 50 table ideas!

Hi,
I just wanted to say how you have some beautiful pieces there!
They gave me some good ideas, especially the ‘cutting a table in half to make a console table’ and ‘coffee table into end of bed bench’!
I myself had an idea to take a flip top sewing machine table, cut the legs down (just a little) and turn it into a night stand!
Although…it won’t be no ordinary night stand! (I can’t give you ALL the details on how I will make it!) ~ one that you can open and extend over your bed, for those mornings when your hubby makes your breakfast!! 😉
Thank you so much Sylvia for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate you letting me know you’re inspired! I hope you share your new night stand with me. 🙂

I think my favorites are the mid-century mod table (you did a great job on that top and matching the stain) and the faux leather (papered table top)
great inspiring pieces!

Patricia,
Thanks for your kind words on my table redos. Jamie’s mid century modern table has taken some hits from Lucy, their Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix. Jamie tried some restor-a-finish on it recently, but it didn’t work so well.
Thanks for the shout out about the MRL Pinterest board!
have a super day!

I’ve been looking for a coffee table to re-do forEVER…and it hit me while reading these that perhaps I should be looking for a regular table with legs I can cut down. I don’t think that was even one of your projects, but your creativity inspired mine! Let’s see what happens…
yay! that’s what it’s all about Laura…. seeing what something CAN be! 🙂
good luck!

Thank you! <3

So many pretty tables, thanks for sharing Gail! BTW I’m finally tackling my dresser, where the top coat didn’t turn out as wanted. As per suggestion it’s been “paper-baged”, only needs the poly coats now. Looks so pretty now!
Have a happy creative week,
Sue
